Our client is internationally recognised as a leading supplier of engineering and maintenance support services in the field of security, scanning and X-Ray equipment.  Due to several large contracts with multinational clients an exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team.

The role will be as a Field Service Engineer deployed throughout the world, often in challenging and austere environments, to maintain the client’s on site scanning equipment. 

Main duties are as follows:-

  • Carry out maintenance duties according to the client contract and to specific deadlines
  • Complete all relevant documentation and circulate to the customer
  • Monitor and respond to Level 1 maintenance issues/faults
  • Maintain reports (daily/weekly/monthly), logs and work orders
  • Provide Operator Training and Refresher Training (as required) by coordinating with the customer.
  • Maintain proper storage and tracking of equipment and spare parts
  • Conduct monthly inventory checks including chasing ordered part(s) and updates on the status of ordered parts
  • Keep equipment/meters calibrated
  • Provide reports, work orders and radiation survey service as required.
  • Operate within a safe manner highlighting any risks to safety.

You will be required to have the following skills and experience:-

  • A minimum of 1 years’ previous experience of working as a Field Service Engineer deployed overseas.
  • Previous experience working on a multinational rota in challenging environments
  • Practical experience working on AS&E, Rapiscan, Smiths and L3 systems
  • Good knowledge of general electronics.
  • Good knowledge and skills of electrical and mechanical works
  • Good working knowledge & minimum one (1) years’ experience on EDC Systems; installing, maintaining and repairing.
  • Good understanding of Basic Electrical Theory and Safety skills.
  • Ability and experience of working on sites in a safe and secure manner.
  • Knowledge of EDC, components, systems and regulations.
  • Working knowledge on communication cables (CAT5, CAT6).
  • Possession of a valid Category B driver's license.
  • NATO Security Clearance to Secret level
