Payroll Clerk


Our client are a Financial institution are looking to recruit an experienced payroll professional to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis working from our Darlington office.

The key duties of the role are:

  • To provide an effective and efficient end to end payroll service
  • Liaise with clients on payroll matters
  • To ensure that payroll activities meet legislative and statutory requirements

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have high volume payroll experience. Experience of working in a payroll bureau would be a distinct advantage
  • Have working knowledge of payroll legislation and implementation of auto enrolment
  • Have strong communication skills
  • Be extremely organised
  • Be able to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Be a team player
  • Have strong IT skills including Excel and Word
  • Ideally have some experience of using Sage
